Terrace We are delighted to offer the beautiful Hotel Terrace in our programme. The hotel was built as a luxury hotel in 1904 and dominates the village of Engelberg. It has recently been refurbished and retains the older style in the reception areas with newly renovated standard rooms in the west wing and bigger superior rooms in the main building. The hotel boasts spectacular views over the valley and mountains beyond and access is by the hotel?s own private funicular which runs down to the town centre and is met by free buses to the main ski lifts 5 minutes away. The funicular also runs until early evening, alternatively it is a 7 minute walk down into the town centre. Guests will enjoy relaxing on the sunny terrace after skiing, dancing the night away in the hotels own disco or simply soaking up the history and atmosphere of this grand old building.
